Sunday Thoughts

A few observations floated through my head as I swam in Long Island Sound this morning.

Here they are:

1. You never get there. You are always getting there. Learn joy in getting there.

2. Each fork in the road is uncertain. To be a real choice, it must be.

3. The choice brings a tightness in the chest; everyone who came before also had a tightness in their chest.

4. The path is about survival and authenticity; the better you get at survival, the more you crave authenticity.

5. Authenticity feeds creation. The suggestive look in your partner’s eye becomes a child, then an adult, the doodle becomes a painting, the seed becomes the garden, the coffee chat becomes the company. You still never get there.
